Samuel & Sons Unveils A Chic New Showroom In Atlanta

The Atlanta showroom opening marks the brand's fifth U.S. outpost.
After more than 20 years at multiline showroom Ainsworth-Noah, Samuel & Sons has unveiled a dedicated Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) showroom of its own. For the sophisticated new outpost—marking its fifth in the U.S.—the global leader in fine passementerie tapped longtime collaborator Timothy Corrigan to appoint their plush Southeast headquarters. Fresh off his redesign of the New York flagship, Corrigan, who previously partnered with Samuel & Sons on his Chevallerie and Bagatelle collections, welcomed the opportunity to fashion a space tailored to the Southeast’s distinct design tastes. It was an opportunity “to elevate design through the details,” company president Michael Cohen notes.
Corrigan’s immersive scheme highlights the brand’s masterful craftsmanship and luxurious materials—think bouclé, silk, linen, glass, metal and wood—showcased in highly curated, color-coded displays. At the heart is the pièce de résistance: a paneled arched doorway adorned with lavish details. “We introduced an architectural element that allowed us to showcase one of the many exciting ways Samuel & Sons’ products can be used,” explains Corrigan, who upholstered the feature in powder-blue embroidered de Gournay silk, then edged it elegantly using Samuel & Sons’ gimp trim. Continues the designer: “We love how this application demonstrates the versatility and detail their trimmings can bring to a room.” Add to that the company’s custom and semi-custom programs, and the possibilities for designers’ projects are practically infinite.
